This story intrigues me to no end. I love a well-written story with a heroine who is funny yet flawed. I wouldn't have thought I'd like a story about dragons so much.

First I'd like to say that this is a nice cover. Almost tells the story by itself.
Red wants nothing more than Father's approval. Father is an ace airship pilot, and Red has never lived up to his standards. Red tries his best but fails while helping Father catch floating whales and battle flying sharks. That's right: space whales. He now has to prove himself when Father's squadron is assigned an actual combat mission. However, Red meets someone who changes how he feels about his world and Father.
